Regional Trends in Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty: East vs. West Coast Insights

This study investigates how consumer interest in nonsurgical rhinoplasty—commonly known as "nose filler"—varies between major U.S. cities on the East and West Coasts. Using Google Keyword Planner data from January 2022 to June 2024, the research team analyzed average monthly search volume and year-over-year growth across ten metros.

West Coast cities, led by Los Angeles (18,200 searches/month), demonstrated both higher search volume and faster growth—particularly for terms like "liquid rhinoplasty," which increased 22% on the West Coast versus 9% on the East. In contrast, East Coast cities such as New York and Miami showed lower but still significant interest.

The findings suggest regional aesthetic preferences and media trends play a key role in shaping demand. Clinics in high-growth metros may benefit from targeted marketing strategies, while those in lower-growth cities might consider boosting educational outreach.

The report underscores the value of digital search data in tracking aesthetic trends and can inform both providers and marketers navigating the evolving nonsurgical procedure landscape.

US East & West Coast Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty
Nonsurgical rhinoplasty, or “nose filler,” has become a popular method for temporarily reshaping the nose without surgery. This study examines geographical differences in online interest for the procedure across major U.S. cities on the East and West Coasts. We analyzed Google search-volume data from 2022 to 2024 for “nose filler” keywords in ten cities (five per coast). Our findings indicate significantly higher search volumes on the West Coast, with Los Angeles averaging 18,200 searches per month. While New York and Miami led the East Coast, their search volumes and year-over-year growth rates were lower. The term “liquid rhinoplasty,” specifically, saw a 22% increase in West Coast metros compared to just 9% on the East Coast. We conclude that the demand for nonsurgical rhinoplasty is geographically varied, likely influenced by local aesthetic culture, social media trends, and the concentration of practitioners. These insights suggest that aesthetic practices could benefit from customizing their marketing strategies based on regional demand.
