Where Are Rhinoplasty and Facelift Most in Demand? New Data from Eight Major Cities
If you’ve been thinking about a rhinoplasty or facelift, look at real-world search behavior across eight major North American cities to understand where interest in facial plastic surgery is growing fastest.

How the Study Worked
Researchers used Google Keyword Planner to track average monthly searches between June 2023 and May 2025 for:
- Rhinoplasty / “nose job”
- Liquid rhinoplasty and nonsurgical rhinoplasty
- Facelift, deep plane facelift, and mini facelift
- Nonsurgical facelift and liquid facelift
Eight cities were analyzed:
New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Toronto, and Atlanta.
For each city, the team calculated:
- Average monthly searches (June 2024–May 2025)
- Year-over-year (YoY) growth compared with the previous 12 months
This gives a directional picture of where patients are most actively researching facial surgery and rejuvenation.
New York and Los Angeles Lead Overall Demand
Two cities clearly sit at the top:
- New York City – ~45,400 combined searches per month
- Los Angeles – ~43,000 combined searches per month
These numbers include both rhinoplasty and facelift queries, plus related terms like “best rhinoplasty surgeon” and “deep plane facelift results.” It confirms what many already suspect: New York and LA remain powerhouse markets for facial plastic surgery, with dense provider networks and highly educated patients.
Right behind them is:
- Miami – ~34,500 searches per month
Miami continues to perform like a coastal aesthetics hub, attracting both local patients and medical tourists for nose reshaping and advanced facelift techniques.
Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Toronto and Atlanta: Strong Second Tier
The study found a solid block of high-interest markets just below the big three:
- Houston – ~29,000 searches per month
- Chicago – ~26,200 searches per month
- Dallas – ~24,100 searches per month
These cities show healthy demand for both rhinoplasty and facelift, with particular growth in combination facial rejuvenation (for example, rhinoplasty plus lower facelift or neck lift).
The real growth story, though, is in:
- Toronto – ~21,400 searches, +12.8% YoY
- Atlanta – ~19,900 searches, +13.9% YoY
Even though their total volume is lower than New York or LA, Toronto and Atlanta recorded the fastest growth in the study. That suggests rapidly expanding aesthetic ecosystems, with more clinics entering the market and more patients ready to move from research to consultation.
Rhinoplasty vs Facelift: Who Wins?
When researchers combined data across all eight cities, they found:
- Rhinoplasty accounted for about 56–60% of facial-surgery searches.
- Facelift (including deep plane and mini facelift) made up 40–44%, but with slightly higher growth.
In other words, more people still search for nose surgery overall—but facelift interest is catching up, especially modern techniques that promise natural, long-lasting results.
Nonsurgical options (liquid rhinoplasty, nonsurgical facelift) represented roughly 20–30% of search volume in each category. Many patients seem to start with injectables and then explore longer-lasting surgical options as they learn more.
What This Means If You’re a Patient
A few practical takeaways from the data:
- If you live in New York, Los Angeles, or Miami, you’re in a very mature market with many choices—and a lot of noise. High demand makes it even more important to focus on board certification, before-and-after photos, and safety record, not just social media popularity.
- If you’re in Houston, Chicago, or Dallas, you’re in a strong but slightly less saturated market, where it may be easier to find experienced surgeons with more individualized care.
- If you’re in Toronto or Atlanta, demand is rising quickly. Expect more clinics, more competition, and more need for clear, evidence-based education.
On AestheticMatch, our goal is to turn these analytics into city-specific guides that explain candidacy, recovery, risks, and realistic outcomes for both rhinoplasty and facelift—surgical and nonsurgical.
FAQ
Does higher search volume mean better surgeons?
Not automatically. Search volume tells us where people are looking, not how good the results are. Quality still depends on training, experience, and honest communication.
Are these numbers the same as procedure counts?
No. Google searches measure interest, not how many surgeries were actually performed. But trends over time often move in the same direction.
If I live in a smaller or emerging market, should I travel?
Many patients in high-growth cities like Toronto or Atlanta still travel to major hubs for complex rhinoplasty or deep plane facelift. The right choice depends on your case, budget, and comfort with traveling for follow-up care.
Key Takeaways & Next Steps
- New York City and Los Angeles remain the top markets for rhinoplasty and facelift demand.
- Miami, Houston, Chicago, and Dallas form a strong second tier.
- Toronto and Atlanta are fast-growing markets worth watching.
- Facelift interest is growing slightly faster than rhinoplasty, especially for advanced techniques.
- Nonsurgical options play an important role but often sit alongside, not instead of, surgery.
